Origin: Who is Molly?
I'm visually inspired by sounds; this is typically how I first form a video idea in my head. I hear something, and I begin to receive visual fragments of scenes, colors and movement.
This is one of my favorite parts about storytelling. Each element plays a small, yet critical role in the symphony which is the finished piece.
WORKING IN MULTIPLE MEDIUMS
A signature of my work and who I am as an artist is complexity.
I feel most drawn to projects that bring together multiple mediums to create a final piece. This video is an example of how I like to work with physical pieces and merge them with video to create something that feels human-made.
The Artist chooses the path of most resistance.
That is because we value the process more than the speed of the outcome.
If we created only to be rapid producing efficiency-machines, we would lose touch with our artist process- which is the very thing that makes us who we are.
