Origin

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is known as the “Gentle Art”. Contorting the body into unique positions and exploring the chess game that is a step by step conquest to submission or defeat. This sport is an exploration of the self. Not only is it a physical journey, but certainly an inner one.

My 4 years training jiu jitsu has pushed me to achieve more than just a physical pinnacle, but also body push my limits as an individual in the world and artist. Learning and advancing in the sport is proof to me that anything can be done with consistency and commitment. and of course a bit of rough grit.

The days I left my all on the mats, are the days I was changed by pushing my limits, or what I thought they were. I not only benefitted from the trials of practice, but was inspired along the way by the art of the body, Shapes, lines, shadows, lights. Emotion. Everything art. Expressed in the movements.

Thank you to my coaches and mentors in this sport who have brought this drive put of me and pushed me to let it bleed into my life.
