My process
Typically my concepts come from visions that pop into my head from interpretations of experiences I encounter in life. It can be anything from a line in a book, a sound or musical piece, a conversation or a part of nature.
Once I have a fragment of the idea, I start sketching and then begin to add color. Sometimes the idea shifts as I begin to work, but this is very normal. Oftentimes, I begin to work and the piece takes on an entirely new meaning as I’m working on it. I believe the art has a mind of its own, in a sense; it has a story to tell. I am just the vessel.
